SUGAR MILL ROLLERS
| A) Shafts - |
The shafts are
manufactured from C-40/45 grade mild steel forgings as per IS 1570 part II of 1979 having
minimum tensile strength 58 Kg/mm2, yield stress minimum 32 Kg/mm2 and eloagation 22%. The
shaft are duly normalised, physically and chemically tested
including Ultrasonic Test. |

| B) Shells - |
Special manganese and silicon alloy mixture
hard coarse grain non polishing cast iron shell having hardness 180-220 BHN. Composition
of shell material confirms to IS 11201-1985
having -
Carbon - 3.2 to 3.6%
Manganese - 2.2 to 3.2%
Phosphorus - 0.5 max.
Sulphur - 0.15% max.
Silicon - 1.2 to 2.2% |
